Post updates and announcements for your classroom or the entire school.
Creating posts
Posts are announcements that appear on the school dashboard. They are the best way to share updates, reminders, and celebrations with your classroom community or the entire school.

Creating a post
- Go to the Posts tab on your school dashboard.
- Click Create Post.
- Fill in the dialog:
- Title -- an optional headline.
- Message -- the body text (required).
- Category -- choose from: General, Announcement, Alert, Reminder, or Celebration.
- Expiration -- how long the post stays active: 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, or No expiration.
- Visibility -- School (everyone) or Classroom (your classroom only).
- Click Send.
How posts appear
Active posts show as colored banners at the top of the school dashboard. Parents and staff see them when they log in. All posts also appear in the Posts tab feed.
Staff see all posts, including expired ones (shown dimmed). Parents see only active posts.
When to use posts
- Weekly classroom updates summarizing what children worked on.
- Field trip reminders and schedule changes.
- Requests for materials or supplies.
- Celebrations and milestones worth sharing.
Managing posts
Click on any post you created to edit or delete it.
Tips
- Post a weekly update every Friday. Parents appreciate a regular rhythm.
- Keep posts short and easy to scan.
- Use the Alert category for urgent information.
- Set an expiration so old posts do not clutter the dashboard.
