Emergency contacts

Keeping your emergency contact information up to date is important for your child's safety.

Viewing contacts

  1. Go to your child's profile.
  2. Click the Contacts tab.
  3. You see a list of all contacts on file, including guardians.

Adding a contact

  1. Click Add contact.
  2. Enter:
    • Name -- the contact's full name.
    • Relationship -- how they are related to your child (grandparent, aunt, family friend, etc.).
    • Phone number -- a number where they can be reached.
    • Email -- optional.
    • Authorized for pickup -- check this box if this person is allowed to pick up your child.
  3. Click Save.

Editing and removing contacts

  • Click on a contact to edit their information.
  • Click Remove to delete a contact from the list.

Who can pick up your child

Only people marked as "Authorized for pickup" will be allowed to pick up your child. The school checks this list when someone other than the primary parent arrives for pickup.

Tips

  • Keep at least two emergency contacts on file.
  • Update contacts whenever there are changes (new phone number, someone moves, etc.).
  • Make sure authorized pickup contacts know they are on the list and may be asked for ID.
